✝️ Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord — “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20)
🙏 Priest Appointments — Effective July 1, 2026 — Bishop Pohlmeier has announced significant priest appointments directly affecting our parish. Rev. Cesar Torres-Pinzon has been appointed new pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish and Missions (six-year term); Rev. Augustine Nwagbara as parochial vicar (three-year term). Rev. Wilson Colmenares will become parochial vicar of San Sebastian Parish and chaplain at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, St. Augustine. Rev. Pablo Fuentes will move to senior priest status. Please keep our priests and community in prayer.
✨ Mass with Bishop Erick Pohlmeier — Sunday, July 12 — You are invited to the Mass with Bishop Pohlmeier on Sunday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross. Two Seminarians will also be helping at the 7 Masses that weekend.
💻 Basic AI & Technology Course — June 2026 — Thursdays, June 4, 8, 11 & 25 from 10:00–11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist. Suggested donation: $25.00 per class — proceeds benefit the St. John Youth Group.
🎓 HCCW Scholarships & HOSA Congratulations — Congratulations to Chloe Kemp, Karly Brown, and Jaicee Brown on receiving HCCW scholarships, and to Elisabeth Garcia on advancing to the National HOSA Competition.
🕊️ National Eucharistic Pilgrimage — Memorial Day Weekend — Launches Sunday, May 24, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine. Join the 250,000 Holy Hours Initiative.
