Parish Announcements

NO DAILY MASSES — OCTOBER 5–9. There will be NO DAILY MASSES at any mission or parish from October 5 through October 9 because the priests will be on retreat. NO HABRÁ MISAS DIARIAS — DEL 5 AL 9 DE OCTUBRE. No habrá misas diarias en ninguna misión ni parroquia del 5 al 9 de octubre porque los sacerdotes estarán en retiro.

A Heartfelt Thank You. Barbara Archer’s family sincerely thanks everyone who attended her funeral Mass on September 26 and those who helped in any way. Your prayers, kindness, and support—and the food shared with us—were deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us honor Barbara and celebrate her life.

Save the Date. The CCW will be celebrating an Octoberfest dinner on Saturday, October 24th after the 4:30 Mass. More details next week.

Holy Cross Council of Catholic Women. Our next Council of Catholic Women’s meeting is this Wednesday, October 7th, at 10:30 am. Please plan to attend and help our church. Light refreshments will be served.

Singers & Musicians Needed — Saturday Masses. Do you love to sing or play an instrument? Our Saturday Masses at St. John the Evangelist (4:30 PM) and Christ the Good Shepherd (6:30 PM) are looking for volunteers to join the music ministry. No auditions and no experience required — if you can carry a tune or play, we would love to have you. To volunteer, please call the parish office at (352) 493-9723 or speak with Mayda after Mass.
